Truckload, Drayage, and Regional Transportation Since 1972
Walt's Drive-A-Way has a long transportation legacy beginning in 1972, with service rooted in truckload transportation, intermodal drayage, regional freight, local service, and over-the-road trucking.

Based in Evansville, Indiana, with an additional location in St. Louis, Missouri, Walt's served customers through a variety of transportation services. Its history included local tri-state truckload, regional short-haul truckload, over-the-road truckload, and intermodal drayage.
The Legacy
Walt's became known for reliable service, safe delivery, collaborative problem solving, and experienced drivers and mechanics. Walt's operated a 40-acre depot and shipping yard, giving customers access to secure yard capacity in addition to transportation service.
Areas of Expertise
“Our business model focuses on developing a network of operations that are separated by no more than 500 miles. This benefits our customers by providing services close to their customer base. It also enables our transportation operations to move our customers' freight overnight close to the point of sale. Acquisitions allow us to expand our network while building a new family that carries our core values.”
